Dr. Serrano graduated with honors from the University of Pharmacy of Montpellier . He also holds a Master of Medical and Biological Sciences from the University of Pharmacy and Medicine of Montpellier and an Advanced Research Degree in Pharmacology from the University of Sciences and Technology of Languedoc . From 1997 to 2000, he obtained management certificates (general management, marketing, management of innovation, prospective and organization of research, management of human resources) from the Conservatoire des Arts et Métiers in Paris .

Before joining NicOx, Philippe Serrano worked as an Associate Director in the Global Regulatory Affairs Department of Aventis Pharmaceuticals, based in New Jersey , USA (2000-2002). From 1998, he worked as Senior Regulatory Officer in the worldwide CMC group and then as European Regulatory Affairs Manager in the regulatory strategy and liaison group, in Aventis in Paris, joining from Baxter Healthcare, Biotech division, where he was working as Senior Regulatory Affairs Officer.
